The President's duties are to: preside over and conduct meetings; appoint committees; coordinate chapter activities; create and regularly review a calendar of events (program of work); call special meetings; write letters and emails; encourage and motivate other officers and members; inspire others and set a good example; contact guest speakers; and represent FBLA at school events and in the community.
Vice President
The Vice President's duties are to: assist the President in his or her duties; preside at meetings in the absence of the President; oversee all committees; and prepare an annual report of all of the club's activities.
Secretary
The duties of the Secretary are to: prepare a schedule of chapter activities (program of work); prepare and read the minutes of each meeting; prepare a monthly report of chapter activities and submit it to the President, Vice President and Chapter Adviser; assist the President in creating an agenda for each meeting; count and record votes when taken; and assist the President in sending correspondence.
Treasurer
The duties of the Treasurer are to: prepare an annual budget; keep an accurate roster of chapter members; keep financial records neat and up to date; plan and assist with fundraising activities; and prepare a monthly financial report for chapter meetings.
Reporter
The duties of the Reporter are to: gather news about the club and its members; send news to the state and national FBLA organizations; prepare and submit news to school publications and local newspapers; arrange exhibits/booths at school and community functions; prepare a regular newsletter; assist the Vice President with the annual report; and update the chapter website and social media.
Historian
The duties of the Historian are to: keep chapter files and documents updated; store meeting minutes, financial reports, and membership rosters; store photos of chapter events; assist the Reporter with updating the website and social media; assist the Vice President with the annual report; and prepare bulletin boards and keep them up to date.
Parliamentarian
The duties of the Parliamentarian are to: assist members in understanding the basic purpose of parliamentary procedure; advice the President on proper procedures for meetings; and encourage members to participate in and prepare a team for the parliamentary procedure competitive event.
